5 racks ODM AI data center

Product Description

AI racks have outgrown air. Once a cabinet passes roughly 30 kW, removing the heat with air alone demands airflow volumes that a sealed steel box simply cannot deliver—there is no raised floor to pressurise, no spare cold aisle, and every additional fan quietly eats into the very power budget you are trying to protect. At the edge, where there is no plant room and no chilled-water loop to connect to, that ceiling arrives sooner than most roadmaps expect.

The 20ft Cold Plate Container Data Center moves the cooling liquid to the chip instead. Five 42U racks sit inside a single 20ft High Cube shell at 50 kW per rack, giving 250 kW of total IT capacity in one ISO footprint. Each rack carries its own rack-mounted CDU, and coolant is distributed through a distributed manifold — so every cabinet gets its own supply and return path rather than sharing one long facility loop, and a single rack can be serviced without draining the whole system.

Because the CDUs travel with the racks, the container needs no separate plant room and no site-built coolant distribution. The complete system is assembled, piped and leak-tested in the factory, then shipped as a standard 20ft High Cube container measuring 6058 x 2438 x 2896 mm — by truck, rail or vessel — requiring nothing more than a level foundation on arrival. For AI training clusters, HPC and high-density colocation that have to go where the power and the land are, that turns a construction project into a delivery.

Product Features

20ft Cold Plate Container Data Center 250kW Rack-Mounted CDU Liquid Cooling 5 Racks ODM

Rack-Mounted CDU with Distributed Manifold

Coolant is brought to the chip through cold plates, and every one of the five 42U racks carries its own rack-mounted CDU instead of drawing from a shared facility loop. A distributed manifold gives each cabinet its own supply and return path at 50 kW per rack, so a single rack can be isolated for service without draining the system, and the compressor-based cooling that normally dominates a container's power budget is removed entirely. Heat leaves as liquid rather than as air, which is what makes a sustained 250 kW load realistic inside a sealed steel shell.

5 x 42U Racks in a 20ft High Cube

Five 42U cabinets sit inside a single 20ft High Cube shell — 6058 x 2438 x 2896 mm of ISO footprint carrying 250 kW in total. Because the coolant loop holds junction temperatures steady across every GPU node, high-TDP AI processors run without the thermal throttling that quietly erodes training throughput, and with no server fans in the hot path there is no fan-induced vibration working on the boards. The result is predictable performance from the first rack to the fifth, in a package that ships as ordinary container freight.

FAQ

1. What defines a data center as "AI-Ready"?
An AI-Ready data center is engineered for extreme power density and thermal management. It features reinforced floor loading for heavy GPU clusters, high-voltage power distribution (such as 415V or 480V) to the rack, and a flexible cooling architecture capable of supporting up to 50 kW per rack.
2. How does the infrastructure support high-performance networking (RDMA)?
Our AI-Ready modules are designed with specialized overhead cable management systems to handle the high-density fiber counts required for InfiniBand and RoCE networks. We ensure optimized cable path lengths to minimize latency and maintain the strict bend radii necessary for 400G and 800G optical interconnects.
3. Can your AI-Ready racks support liquid cooling for NVIDIA Blackwell or H100 systems?
Yes. Our racks are pre-configured for liquid-to-chip cooling. They feature integrated manifolds and space for Coolant Distribution Units (CDUs), making them fully compatible with the high thermal design power (TDP) requirements of the latest NVIDIA Blackwell and Hopper architectures.
4. How do you handle the massive power surges associated with AI training loads?
AI workloads create highly variable power demands. Our solutions utilize intelligent PDUs and UPS systems with high-discharge batteries or flywheels that can handle rapid "step-loads," ensuring electrical stability even when thousands of GPUs ramp up to full power simultaneously.
5. Are these modules scalable for rapid "Day 2" expansions?
Absolutely. We use a modular "building block" design. You can start with a few high-density AI pods and add more as your compute needs grow. The cooling and power hookups are standardized for rapid deployment, reducing the "Ready-for-Service" time by up to 30% compared to traditional builds.
6. What is the maximum rack weight capacity for fully loaded AI servers?
Our AI-specific cabinets are built with heavy-gauge reinforced steel, supporting a static load rating of up to 2,200kg (approx. 4,850 lbs). This safely accommodates full-stack AI configurations, including internal bus bars, liquid manifolds, and multi-node GPU systems.
7. How does AI-readiness impact the sustainability (PUE) of the facility?
AI-Ready centers actually improve efficiency by moving cooling closer to the heat source. By utilizing Rear Door Heat Exchangers (RDHx) or Direct Liquid Cooling (DLC), we can remove heat more efficiently than traditional air-only methods, targeting a PUE of 1.12 or lower even at 50 kW per rack densities.
8. What is the difference between a rack-mounted CDU and an in-row or centralized CDU?
A rack-mounted CDU puts the liquid-to-liquid heat exchanger and pump inside, or directly alongside, each individual cabinet, and feeds it through a distributed manifold. An in-row CDU serves a whole row from one unit placed between cabinets, while a centralized CDU serves the entire hall from a single plant room. Rack-level distribution gives each cabinet its own supply and return path and its own flow control, so a 50 kW rack is never starved by a neighbour, and one unit can be isolated for service without draining the rest of the loop.
9. How much IT load can a 20ft container data center actually support?
This 20ft High Cube configuration carries 5 x 42U racks at up to 50 kW per rack, for a total IT capacity of 250 kW inside a shell measuring 6058 x 2438 x 2896 mm. That density is only reachable because the heat leaves through cold plates and a rack-level coolant loop rather than through air, which is also why the container needs no raised floor and no compressor-based cooling to hold junction temperatures under sustained AI training loads.
