Product Description

The Customized configuration is the build-to-order option in our container data center family: instead of fitting a project into a catalogue size, the container, rack count, power path and cooling are specified around it. Capacity ranges from a few tens of kW up to 500 kW, with rack loads up to 20 kW+ and redundancy chosen as N+1 or 2N.

Cooling is matched to the density - in-row units inside cold/hot aisle containment for conventional racks, or liquid and immersion cooling once air stops being economical. The module is assembled and tested in the factory, ships as a standard-height ISO container by truck, rail or ship, and is commissioned on a simple concrete pad, so a bespoke facility still arrives as tested infrastructure rather than a construction project.

Product Features

Customized Container Data Center Up to 500 kW Flexible Racks In-Row or Liquid Cooling

Built to Your Spec, Up to 500 kW

This is the customized build: instead of a fixed catalogue size, the container is configured around the project - any practical length, any rack count, and a power path from a few tens of kW up to 500 kW, with racks rated up to 20 kW+ where the payload demands it. Redundancy is chosen rather than assumed, so the UPS can be specified N+1 or 2N to match the site's criticality. The finished unit still ships as a standard-height ISO module by truck, rail or ship, so it can be lifted onto a simple concrete pad anywhere in the world.

In-Row or Liquid Cooling, Sized to the Load

Cooling is selected with the load: in-row units inside cold/hot aisle containment where racks stay in the single-digit kW range, or liquid and immersion cooling once a rack passes the point where air stops being economical. Because the internal layout is designed per project rather than fixed, the aisle width, containment, rack depth and cooling distribution can all be matched to the payload, and the factory tests the assembled module before it ships.

FAQ

1. What are the primary applications for Container Data Centers?
Container Data Centers (CDCs) are ideal for rapid capacity expansion, disaster recovery, and edge computing. They are widely used in remote field operations, disaster-relief sites, large-scale public events, and as modular building blocks for hyperscale data centers.
2. What are the key advantages over traditional data centers?
The main benefits include speed of deployment (weeks instead of years), mobility, and scalability. Because they are factory-pre-integrated and tested, they minimize on-site construction risks and offer a "pay-as-you-grow" financial model.
3. How do containers withstand harsh outdoor environments?
CDCs are built using ruggedized ISO steel enclosures with high-grade insulation and IP55/IP65 ratings. They are designed to operate in extreme temperatures (from -40°C to +55°C) and feature specialized coatings to resist corrosion, salt spray, and sandstorms.
4. Are Container Data Centers energy efficient?
Yes. By using contained cold/hot aisles and close-coupled cooling (In-Row), CDCs significantly reduce energy waste. This precision cooling allows many units to achieve a Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) as low as 1.15 to 1.3, making them more efficient than many traditional facilities.
5. What internal systems are included in a standard unit?
A standard CDC is an all-in-one solution including power distribution (UPS/ATS), cooling systems, fire suppression (FM200 or Novec 1230), smart environmental monitoring (DCIM), and physical security/access control systems.
6. What exactly can be customized in the container build?
Four things, mainly: the size (non-standard lengths within ISO transport limits), the rack count and layout, the power path (capacity up to 500 kW and redundancy as N+1 or 2N), and the cooling (in-row inside aisle containment, or liquid / immersion for racks above 20 kW). Fire suppression, DCIM monitoring, access control and EPO are integrated in every build, and the module is run-tested in the factory before shipment.
