Product Description

The ICDC20 is the 20ft edge configuration of our ISO container data center platform: one 20ft HQ ISO box carrying 9 racks at up to 6 kW each, for 54 kW of total IT capacity. Power comes from a 90 kVA modular N+1 UPS and the racks are cooled in-row, so the whole unit ships as a single freight item and is commissioned on site in days rather than months.

The shell is a genuine ISO container built to keep the weather out - an IP55 envelope with insulated walls and optional C5-M coating, rated from -40 C to +55 C - with fire suppression, DCIM monitoring, door access control and EPO pre-installed. Because it is transportable, the same unit can be moved when an edge site is retired or redeployed for disaster recovery, instead of being written off with a building.

Product Features

ICDC20 20ft ISO Container Data Center 54 kW 9 Racks with 90 kVA Modular N+1 UPS

9 Racks and 54 kW Inside One 20ft ISO Box

The ICDC20 packs a complete server room into a single 20ft HQ ISO container: 9 racks of 600 x 1100 x 2000 mm at up to 6 kW each, 54 kW of total IT capacity, a 90 kVA modular N+1 UPS and in-row cooling - all pre-installed, wired and run-tested in the factory. On site the unit only needs a power feed and a data link, so a remote or edge site goes live in days instead of the months a purpose-built room takes.

IP55 Enclosure Rated -40 C to +55 C

The shell is a genuine ISO container, so it ships and lifts like freight, but it is built to keep weather out: an IP55 envelope with insulated walls (R-value 14) and optional C5-M anti-corrosion coating holds the internal climate through -40 C to +55 C ambient, dust and driven rain. Because the container is mobile, the same unit can be repositioned when a site is retired, which is what makes it practical for disaster recovery and temporary capacity.

FAQ

1. What are the primary applications for Container Data Centers?
Container Data Centers (CDCs) are ideal for rapid capacity expansion, disaster recovery, and edge computing. They are widely used in remote field operations, disaster-relief sites, large-scale public events, and as modular building blocks for hyperscale data centers.
2. What are the key advantages over traditional data centers?
The main benefits include speed of deployment (weeks instead of years), mobility, and scalability. Because they are factory-pre-integrated and tested, they minimize on-site construction risks and offer a "pay-as-you-grow" financial model.
3. How do containers withstand harsh outdoor environments?
CDCs are built using ruggedized ISO steel enclosures with high-grade insulation and IP55/IP65 ratings. They are designed to operate in extreme temperatures (from -40°C to +55°C) and feature specialized coatings to resist corrosion, salt spray, and sandstorms.
4. Are Container Data Centers energy efficient?
Yes. By using contained cold/hot aisles and close-coupled cooling (In-Row), CDCs significantly reduce energy waste. This precision cooling allows many units to achieve a Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) as low as 1.15 to 1.3, making them more efficient than many traditional facilities.
5. What internal systems are included in a standard unit?
A standard CDC is an all-in-one solution including power distribution (UPS/ATS), cooling systems, fire suppression (FM200 or Novec 1230), smart environmental monitoring (DCIM), and physical security/access control systems.
6. What fits inside the ICDC20 20ft unit?
The ICDC20 holds 9 racks of 600 x 1100 x 2000 mm at up to 6 kW each, giving 54 kW of total IT capacity. A 90 kVA modular N+1 UPS and in-row cooling are integrated inside the same 20ft shell, together with fire suppression, DCIM monitoring and door access control. If a site needs more racks or more power, step up to the 40ft ICDC40-A or the customized build rather than adding external plant.
