I. Client Introduction
As a core telecom operator in the Middle East, Saudi Telecom has been deeply engaged in the communication service field for many years, covering full-scenario businesses such as mobile, fixed-line and data services, and occupies an important position in regional telecom infrastructure construction. With the rapid iteration of cloud computing, big data, artificial intelligence and Internet of Things technologies, its demand for adaptable, high-performance and flexibly deployed data centers is increasingly urgent, requiring professional foreign trade equipment and customized solutions to support business upgrading and strengthen regional service competitiveness.
II. Project Background and Pain Points
The current telecom industry pattern is changing rapidly with accelerated technological upgrading. Saudi Telecom's outdated original infrastructure can hardly meet the surging data processing needs and flexible deployment requirements, facing problems such as slow response to market changes and insufficient service continuity guarantee. Meanwhile, the client urgently needed a quickly deployable solution with high reliability and scalability to cope with dynamically changing technical demands and diverse business scenarios. As the industry's first customizable mobile data center project capable of competing with Huawei, this project is not only a demand for Saudi Telecom's infrastructure upgrading, but also a key breakthrough for SOETECK to enhance technical strength and market competitiveness.
III. Customized Equipment Solutions
To address the client's core needs, we tailored a customized solution for mobile OLT container data centers, delivering two 40-foot container data centers that fully comply with high industry standards. The solution configuration includes core foreign trade equipment and supporting systems: 4 high-efficiency aisle air conditioners for optimal temperature control, 7 OLTs (Optical Line Terminals) for high-speed data transmission, 4 ODFs (Optical Distribution Frames) for organized fiber connections, 4 splitters for optimizing optical signal distribution, along with 1 management device for centralized control, dual DC power supplies, 2 battery racks for backup power, and state-of-the-art fire safety systems complying with 2-hour safety regulations, forming a complete operating system. Core highlights of the solution include modular design for easy expansion and adjustment, dual power supply redundancy for uninterrupted operation, and high-efficiency cooling systems to reduce downtime risks, balancing flexibility, stability and safety.
IV. On-Site Execution and Support
During project execution, we faced two major challenges: variable client requirements and insufficient initial communication efficiency. We quickly optimized the execution strategy: established a responsive decision-making process to synchronize progress and respond to demand changes through regular stakeholder communication, ensuring efficient implementation of program adjustments; appointed a dedicated project manager to oversee the overall situation, break communication barriers, and strictly control milestone nodes, construction quality and delivery schedule. Meanwhile, the team provided full-process on-site technical support, from equipment installation and commissioning, system integration to operation training, ensuring each set of industrial equipment accurately adapts to the client's scenario and the project is delivered on time and with high quality.
V. Project Achievements and Long-Term Cooperation
After the successful project implementation, it has significantly improved Saudi Telecom's operational flexibility and stability, enabling it to quickly respond to market demands and upgrade service systems. The robust design and scalability of the solution have been highly recognized by the client. Through optimized procurement strategies and in-depth data analysis, we achieved dual goals of cost control and on-time delivery, further consolidating SOETECK's technical advantages and market position in the container data center field. Looking ahead, we will deepen supplier cooperation, optimize procurement processes, and integrate smart technologies to upgrade energy consumption and operation management. With more high-quality customized commercial equipment solutions, we will help Saudi Telecom and more operators in the Middle East achieve technological iteration and expand overseas market influence.
