Telecom Fiji Limited is one of the largest facility-based providers of fixed-line communication and networking services in Fiji. Its business covers the construction and operation of core communication networks across the country, and numerous local telecom stations under its umbrella are the key hubs ensuring the stability of regional communication signals and continuous service supply, which have extremely high requirements for the reliability and safety of supporting equipment.
II. Project Background & Pain Points
Most telecom stations of the customer have long relied on household air conditioners for cooling. With the iteration and upgrading of communication equipment, the cooling efficiency and temperature control accuracy of household air conditioners can no longer meet the operational needs of telecom facilities, posing potential risks such as equipment overheating and unstable operation, which may even affect the continuity of communication services. Meanwhile, the stations are located in coastal areas, where the high salt spray and high humidity environment are prone to corrode cooling equipment, further increasing the hidden danger of equipment failure. There is an urgent need to replace professional cooling equipment suitable for industrial scenarios and with anti-corrosion performance to build a safe and stable operating environment for telecom station facilities.
III. Customized Solutions
In response to the customer's core needs and on-site environmental characteristics, we tailored exclusive customized equipment solutions for foreign trade, providing a batch of high-quality, high-efficiency and low-energy-consumption room-level precision air conditioners that accurately match the cooling needs of industrial equipment operation in telecom stations. The project configuration includes 20 sets of 20KW precision air conditioners and 80 sets of 45KW precision air conditioners, which can flexibly adapt to cooling capacity according to the equipment load of different stations. Considering the special coastal location of the project, we carried out special anti-corrosion treatment on the air conditioner condensers, adopting special materials and processes resistant to salt spray and humidity, to fundamentally ensure the long-term stable operation of the equipment in harsh environments, completely solve corrosion hidden dangers, and balance cooling performance and durability.
IV. On-site Execution & Support
To ensure the smooth implementation of the project, we set up a professional overseas technical service team to provide full-process on-site execution support. After the equipment arrived at the site, the team conducted one-on-one installation guidance, assisting the customer in completing the positioning, installation and commissioning of air conditioning units in strict accordance with the site layout and equipment operation specifications of telecom stations, and controlling the installation quality throughout the process. Meanwhile, we carried out special training for the customer's operation and maintenance personnel on equipment installation points, daily operation and maintenance processes, troubleshooting skills and other contents, explaining key precautions in detail and delivering standardized operation and maintenance methods to ensure that the customer can independently complete daily equipment management in the future.
V. Project Achievements & Long-term Cooperation
At present, all precision air conditioning equipment has been installed and put into stable operation. The cooling effect, temperature control accuracy and anti-corrosion performance have all met the customer's expectations, effectively solving various pain points of the original household air conditioners and providing reliable environmental protection for telecom station facilities. The professional solution design, efficient on-site support and high-quality commercial equipment quality during the project implementation have won high recognition and praise from the customer. Based on the good experience of this cooperation, the two parties have reached a consensus on long-term cooperation in data center projects.
